Each element's electron cloud, in the mean-field picture

Every dot is a draw from the mean-field (Xα) electron density: each electron sees the nucleus plus the averaged repulsion of the others — the approximation behind every orbital picture. An atom at rest is spherical: the content is the concentric shells, their radial nodes, and the comparative sizes. No relativity, no fine correlation (heavy elements indicative; configurations beyond lawrencium are predicted). Units in Bohr radii (a₀ ≈ 0.053 nm).
